These Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots with Sour Cream & Chive Dipping Sauce are easy to make and guaranteed to impress!

Hi friends! How was your Thanksgiving? Still eating hot turkey sandwiches and the last of the sweet potato casserole?

We’re now basking in the glow of a holiday well spent…

Between Clue, Pictionary and Rummy, our kitchen table saw more than just turkey, potatoes and corn bread.

We had some laughs I won’t soon forget!

Today I want to share a quick and simple appetizer that’s perfect for game night or any holiday soirée you find yourself planning for.

With just five main ingredients:

  • Tater Tots
  • Bacon
  • Sharp Cheddar
  • Sour Cream
  • Chives

…you’re on your way to winning, even if the games don’t go your way! (Perhaps I have a little experience with that!)

This pretty appetizer is made with your favorite tots, sharp cheddar and bacon.

Yep, I said bacon.

This dry aged gluten-free Jones Dairy Farm Cherrywood Smoked Bacon is slightly sweeter than most hickory smoked varieties and creates outstanding flavor that we just love.

And let’s not forget about the dipping sauce… Sour cream, chopped chives and plenty of black pepper. How simple is that?

These Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots come as close to being tiny loaded potatoes (on a stick) as you’ll ever find.

Buon Appetito!

So funny…. my girlfriend Lorna and I love to host a few close friends with ‘funky’ themed parties. One year, a frito pie party, another year churro dipping party, and this year we want to do a tater tot party where everyone brings a fancy sauce! We just need a great excuse to have potatoes and wine. Love this post and I can’t wait to showcase these fancy wrapped taters.

This is oh so my type of recipe! I could dig right into that right this very minute. I have such great memories concerning tater tots and my parents. I know, Italian parents and tater tots are an odd mix but there is a story to be told. 🙂 Love the recipe!

I’m glad you had a lovely Thanksgiving, Annie!! Since I cooked a reaaaally small Turkey Day dinner for just Boy and I, we barely had any leftovers, which was perfectly fine with me! More room in my belly for bacon wrapped tots!! 😉 I am obsessing over this appetizer, my dear! I mean, bacon plus tots? Yes. Just YESS! And I love that simple chive sour cream dipping sauce! I could definitely polish off a few trays of these! Pinned! Cheers! xo

Sounds like you had a lovely Thanksgiving, Annie! Board games are fun, aren’t they. Catch phrase is so good too…one of my faves. These look amazing and seriously dangerously good. I bet I would have 6 gone and not even realize….I guess that’s what exercising is for, right 😉 ? And that dipping sauce sounds like a perfect match. Hope your week is going good! XOXO
