Whipped Cream Cheese Cranberry Pecan Pinwheels (Video)

You’re going to want these simple and delicious Whipped Cream Cheese Cranberry Pecan Pinwheels on your holiday table!

About three years ago I shared a simple but delicious Cranberry Pecan Cracker Spread recipe on the blog.

The recipe was given to me by my good friend, Karen. Yep – the same Karen that gave us Concord Grape Pie. I know what you’re thinking – how lucky can one girl be? Karen is not only a wonderful friend and neighbor, she’s a fantastic cook; and don’t even get me started on her Christmas cookies!

Anyway – I was going through old posts when I stumbled upon this charmer. I immediately thought, ahhhh, with the holidays just around the corner – wouldn’t this be a fun and timely recipe to play around with. I mean – who can’t get behind the flavors of pecan, orange, cranberry and cinnamon right now? And because the recipe seemed perfectly adaptable – Whipped Cream Cheese Cranberry Pecan Pinwheels were born. I took the chance and introduced the fall-inspired cream cheese spread to a flour tortilla, and the rest, as they say, is history.

And if this isn’t the easiest thing you’ll do all fall, well, then, I’ll come over and rake your leaves!

Check this out ——>Once your cream cheese mixture is prepared, you’ll simply:

  • spread a heaping scoopful on a tortilla
  • roll the tortilla up jelly-roll style
  • chill (for as little as two hours)
  • slice each roll into one-inch rounds
  • pour some chilled berry wine
  • and call your holiday appetizer worries over

When I first shared the recipe back in 2013 I billed it as Thanksgiving on a Cracker.

And now I’m thinking Thanksgiving in a Pinwheel. Hmmm. Has a nice ring, don’t ya think? Yes? Maybe? I’m pushing it?

Anyway – I thought the pinwheels were so stinkin’ pretty it’d be a shame for you not to see how simply and beautifully they come together.

Oh, I know what you’re thinking – if there’s a video, Luc must be home… And you know what? You’d be right!

Please enjoy our video!

Buon Appetito!

Annie – LOVE the video! My sister loves to enjoy appetizers before Christmas dinner – and I like to entertain her love as it means more dessert for me – though it would be hard to sit back and watch her devour these pinwheels! They are so elegant, so tasty and so easy!
