Top 10 Recipes of 2014!

Hey!! Let’s count down this year’s favorite recipes with the top 10 most popular dishes on Ciao Chow Bambina, shall we?

Starting at number 10…

10.) Mexican Chicken Poblano Chowder – Pret-ty impressive considering I just posted this a few weeks ago…you guys like your chowder!

9.) Simple Marinara Sauce – Sometimes the simplest dishes give me the most pleasure. Who am I kidding…they almost always give me the most pleasure – especially when they’re this delicious!

8.) Garlic & Herb Oyster Crackers – The marriage of garlic and dill with these oyster crackers makes this snack a favorite in our house…I guess your house, too!

7.) Tuna Macaroni Salad -This takes me right back to childhood…10 speed bikes, chlorine-perfumed hair and Mom’s awesome summer salads!

6.) Roasted Rainbow Carrots – I stand by this notion…you could roast a shoe at 450 degrees and it would come out delicious! These carrots are no exception! (Okay, a tiny brand new shoe – but still…)

5.) Fried Gnocchi with Garlic & Parmesan – Third time’s the charm! I love my gnocchi swimming in sauce but there’s something really special about fried gnocchi showered in garlic and cheese…oh. my.

4.) He Had Me At Rib Eye! – If this year’s Valentine’s Day dinner is any indication of what next year’s meal will look and taste like…I am in for a treat!

3.) Garlic & Brown Sugar Glazed Chicken – I’ll eat food all day long that goes by the descriptors: sweet and spicy, glazey, tender, melt-in-your-mouth [chicken].

2.) Chicken & Gravy- This post begs for a moment of reflection. “What brings you comfort?” I asked. So many things, thankfully, and this dish was one of them!

Da da daaaaa…

1.) Orange Chicken – This lovely weeknight meal is not only delicious, it’s healthy, it’s savory, it’s sweet, and it’s healthy. That was worth repeating! Thanks for making my first recipe of the year, your favorite!

2014 was clearly the year of the chicken, for Ciao Chow Bambina, anyway!

Gosh this was a fun trip down memory lane… I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

See you tomorrow!
