Ciao Chow Bambina has had quite a year! I thought it would be fun to corral the top ten recipes that you guys made The Best of 2013. Through posts visited, and recipes pinned, the following received top billing according to Google Analytics. Let’s count ’em down…
Starting at number ten…
10. Arancini – You probably love this as much as I do because it’s the best street food that Italy has to offer! So until you find yourself sitting on the Spanish Steps munching away on a mozzarella filled arancini, this recipe will definitely do!!
9. Cheesy Garlic Bread – Sometimes we just need bread and cheese. Am I right? This is the recipe for those special moments in life!
8. Apple Pie – You clearly love the flavors of apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar wrapped in a flaky crust (just like we do)! And the fact that this recipe comes from church ladies – well, you just knew it had to be good…
7. Hearty Lemon Chicken Stew – Thank you Pinterest for this delectable recipe! It’s a keeper for those chilly Sunday afternoons!
6. Orangecello – This is THE one that started it all! It will always hold a very special place in my heart! I’m so happy to see that it holds a special place in your hearts too!
5. Thanksgiving Cider – Yum! This is just about as good an autumn drink as they come. Apple pie in a mug!!! I mean really, can it get any better?
4. Jack Daniel’s Warm Holiday Brew – Welllllll – according to you guys – it can! Jack Daniel’s does not disappoint with their new Winter Jack. And mixed with some holiday ingredients – it’s a lovely drink to get cozy with by the fire!
3. Italian Wedding Cookies – Who doesn’t love a good cookie? Especially when it’s filled with chopped walnuts and covered in powdered sugar. This sweet treat goes by many names, but it’s always buttery and delicious no matter what we’re calling it.
2. Taco Dip – It seems that most every time we get together with friends or family, a request is made for this taco dip. It’s creamy and fresh and perfectly spicy. It’s also awesome for book club gatherings! (Oh yeah, Foxy Ladies!)
And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for…. Your Number One, Numero Uno, most visited post and pinned recipe of 2013………..
Drumroll please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. Sweet Potato Casserole with Pecan Streusel – Yes!!! I knew you guys would love this!!!!! What can I say? Father Knows Best! This recipe has been a favorite of our family for decades and I love thinking about all the home cooks that served it up this holiday season. I was amazed at the number of you who visited my site on a daily basis to search for this recipe. Thank you for making this my number one!
