Summertime Salumi with Marinated Fresh Mozzarella captures the spirit of Italy with every delicious bite!

Summertime Salumi with Marinated Fresh Mozzarella

Today’s post is in partnership with Italy’s #1 cheese brand, Galbani®. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that help make Ciao Chow Bambina possible.

The opportunity to sing the praises of Galbani® Marinated Fresh Mozzarella has been a long time coming!

So creamy and delicious – marinated in oils, herbs, and spices, this luscious nibble is ready-to-use the moment your fresh mozzarella craving strikes! And if you’re anything like I am – that is all the time! Crafted in the *fior di latte tradition, Galbani® Marinated Fresh Mozzarella products are all-natural with no whiteners or preservatives added. (You don’t see that every day!)

Summertime Salumi with Marinated Mozzarella

My decision to share an Italian salumi & fresh mozzarella board was an easy one! This antipasti makes the experience of eating just as exciting as the food itself. And isn’t that what it’s all about?!

At mealtime, especially in the summer months, we’re a family who gravitates toward grazing. We’ve probably noshed on more cheese and salumi than there are sunflowers and red poppies on the Italian countryside. There’s just something about the experience of gathering around a table with beautiful food piled high, with a cold glass of wine, or homemade limoncello in hand, that makes everybody happy.

So you may have a couple of questions…

What does *fior di latte mean?

Translated as “Flower of the Milk”, this indicates that it’s a fresh cheese made with the goodness of the full cream cow’s milk.

What is salumi? (Not to be mistaken for salami.)

We’ll make this real easy – if you know what charcuterie is – you know what salumi is. It’s the Italian name for a broad range of cured and smoked meats and sausages. Salami is just one of many types of meat you can find on a salumi board.

I went to town on this board! There really is no wrong way to create an Italian board as long as the components are of great quality, great flavor, and pack an authentic Italian punch! I shopped my local Italian market and Mediterranean section of my favorite grocery store.

HERE’S WHAT I LIKE TO INCLUDE ON MY BOARD: (Everything you see in this post, plus a few more ideas for good measure.)

CHEESE – Galbani® Marinated Fresh Mozzarella

MEAT – Prosciutto di Parma, Sopressata, Mortadella with Pistachios

BREAD – Italian, Artisan, Baguette, Grilled Crostini

SAVORY COMPLEMENTS – Olives, Artichoke Hearts, Roasted Garlic, Italian Hummus, Cherry Tomatoes, Sliced Bell Peppers, Snap Peas, Almonds, Pistachios

SWEET COMPLEMENTS – Local Strawberries, Grapes, Pears, Cherries, Figs

FINISHERS – Honey, Fruit Preserves, Olive Oil

Summertime Salumi with Marinated Fresh Mozzarella

During the summer months, pulling together a salumi & fresh mozzarella board is one of the best ways to gather folks around the table and capture an authentic Italian experience from the comforts of home!

Buon Appetito!

This is fabulous! I can’t get this brand where I live, unfortunately. But I could dive into the marinated mozzarella. Head first. Love your charcuterie and cheese board.
