Designed to WOW your guests – these Slice-and-Bake Za’atar Crackers with Boursin® Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese will take your celebrations to a whole new level!
Ingredients

- 1/4 pound unsalted butter at room temperature (1 stick)
- 4 ounces freshly grated Parmigiano-Regianno cheese (about 1 cup)
- 2 tsp za’atar
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp water
- Boursin® Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese
- Toppings:
- Chopped tomatoes
- Sliced olives
- Red & green bell peppers, thinly sliced
- Chopped pistachios
- Toasted pepitas
- Chopped dates
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the butter for 1 minute.
- With the mixer on low speed, add the Parmigiano, za’atar, salt and pepper. Mix to combine.
- Next, add the flour. Mix until the dough is in large crumbles. About 4 minutes.
- If the dough is dry, add water.
- Place dough onto a floured surface, press it into a ball, and roll into a 9-inch log.
- Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at 30 minutes or up to 4 days. (I refrigerated overnight.)
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Cut the log into 3/8-inch thick rounds.
- Place them on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20 – 22 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Rotate the pan during baking.
- Cool. Set aside.
- In the meantime, ready the fresh toppings.
- Top crackers with Boursin® Cheese and toppings.
