Holiday Potato Chip Cookies are the treat you didn’t know you needed! Salty-sweet perfection!
If truth be told, I am not much of a baker. This is not to say that I don’t love sweets – I do! However, if push comes to shove – you’ll find more savory ingredients in my pantry than sweet, and I’m definitely reaching into the chip bag over the cookie jar 95% of the time.
How about you?
So this got me thinking…maybe Santa would like a chip every now and again. You know, a little salt to balance out all that sweet.
But would it be right to leave just a bowl of chips out for his travels?
I imagine he must get a hankering for crunchy salty snacks after all the sweet confections he gobbles down before he’s even crossed the border! Am I right?
So it makes perfect sense to me that we warm up the ovens for a cookie that covers some new bases!
Sweet and salty, soft and crunchy – the cookie of my dreams! And hopefully Santa’s too! 😉

Description
Holiday Potato Chip Cookies are the treat you didn’t know you needed!
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
2 eggs
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate
2 cups slightly smashed potato chips
1/4 cup holiday sprinkles
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, using an electric hand mixer, cream together the butter, sugars, vanilla, and lemon juice.
Add the eggs one at a time. Mix until smooth.
Stir the dry mixture into the wet mixture and blend well.
Fold in the chocolate chips, potato chips, and sprinkles, and mix by hand until ingredients are well blended.
For best results, chill dough for an hour in the refrigerator before baking.
Spoon rounded tablespoon-sized portions onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Place the scoops about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10 -11 minutes or until cookies are light brown and soft in the middle.

I love both sweet and savory equally, but combined? That is the best. Etienne and I will often spend a Friday or Saturday night snacking in front of a good movie, and we always have a little bit of chocolate or other sweets with our chips! These cookies accomplish both things in one 😉 Great holiday cookies!

You guys know how to live!! Thanks, dear!

One of my deep dark secrets is that I’ll take potato chips over cookies any day. . .that said, if I can have both at the same time, I’ll do it. These sound AMAZING!

Your secret is good with me! 😉

I can’t honestly say I don’t love sweets 🙂 BUT, I love savoury as well, so I’m all over any treat that combines the two! These look like they’d be right up my alley. Can’t wait to try them.

My pantry leans toward savory too, but I do love a good cookie. And my favorite cookies are both sweet and salty (like a sprinkle of Maldon on pb cookies!) so you know I’m loving these, Annie! Festive and delicious!
Annie says
Ooooh now I need that pb cookie of yours! Thank you, friend!
