Blood Orange & Raspberry Smoothie Bowl

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

It was a holiday, filled.

How was yours? I hope it was all that you dreamed for.

With the kids home, we hung…a lot. Cooked a lot. Laughed a lot. Wore pajamas a lot (a lot). And we wouldn’t change a thing. Dreamy.

I’d say we took our job seriously – being with and filling up on everything the week had to offer.

And now, we’re ready for the next. Ready to walk some. Eat some. Hydrate some. Dance some. Enjoy the view some. Sing some. Write some. Read some. Reflect some. Date some. Color some (Have you seen these?). All the while collecting new memories to share.

Do you love the clean slate feeling of a new year as much as I do? It’s not so much about resolutions but the light hopeful feeling that comes with the first day. It’s pretty powerful.

So I’ve been wanting to share a recipe using blood oranges since last March but the North End had another plan for me. Which was fine. But I’ve had to wait all these months. With these blood oranges in season now, the calendar required that I be patient. But you know what they say…

Good things come to those who wait. They certainly do.

This slightly sweet, mostly tart, fresh and bright smoothie bowl is perfect for this time of year. And who can resist that color?

I love a breakfast that’s all about throwing things in a blender and coming out with meals like this Blood Orange & Raspberry Smoothie Bowl,  Tropical Smoothie or Autumn Acai Bowls.

With fresh fruit, a little crunch, health boosters and natural sweetener, if you haven’t jumped on the smoothie bowl bandwagon…it just might be time.

Buon Appetito!

I love that we’re both starting the New Year off with a smoothie bowl! I saw this on Instagram so I put blood oranges on my shopping list, but for some reason we don’t have them yet, so I’ll have to wait a little longer to make this!
