- 1/2 lb. pecan halves
- 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 – 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. water
Instructions
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment. Set aside.
- Place nuts in a 10″ cast-iron skillet set over medium heat. Stir.
- While stirring, cook for 3 – 4 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the butter and stir until it melts.
- Add the cayenne pepper, cinnamon and salt. Stir to combine.
- Once combined, add the brown sugar and water and cook until mixture thickens and coats the pecans, about 2 – 3 minutes.
- Deliver nuts to the parchment lined sheet pan.
- Separate the pecans and cool completely before transferring to an airtight storage container.
- Serve at room temperature.
