Soul Snacks : Volume 14

Soul Snacks

Happy New Year!

Is it true that I haven’t dished up a soul snack since October? What? No soul snacks for the holidays? Grrrr. No-one should ever be so busy that they can’t take time to indulge in a little soul-inspired snacking. Am I right?

So here we are. Today’s post. All about this and that.

Every few Soul Snacks, I get itchin’ to share the books that keep me up at night…those prominently displayed on my bookcase…the reads that take top billing in the armoire…the stories that make their way to my purse, the car, a waiting room…you get the picture. And I share this list with the hopes that you’ll share yours in return. What book (or books) are you enjoying? I’d love to know!

Currently trending in my den and on my nightstand:

Poemcrazy by Susan G. Wooldridge

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote

Tell Me More by Kelly Corrigan

Treyf: My Life as an Unorthodox Outlaw by Elissa Altman

Jane Kenyon – Collected Poems by Jane Kenyon

So that takes care of the this.

Soul Snacks

Now on to the that.

My daughter Lauren spent some time over her break designing a new website for my food photography. (How sweet is that?) And she did something really creative with it. Once you enter the site – you’ll see a section labeled Sponsored Posts and another labeled CCB Favorites. In the Favorites section she arranged photos/recipes by color. Aren’t you intrigued? I really can’t say anymore about it….it’s best seen….

Sooooo, if you’re so inclined, here’s a link to my new site: 😉

Well this was fun! I promise not to wait so long to catch up over snacks; and how about next time we put the coffee on?

Please leave a comment and share a favorite book or two… I can hardly wait to see what you’re reading!!

Thanks, dears!

Have a lovely weekend!

Annie

XO

I always love your book lists, Annie. Thank you! I just started reading “Today Will Be Different” by Maria Semple. I loved “Where’d You Go Bernadette” (fresh way of telling a story, whip smart and hilarious) and am up for anything she writes.

Just checked out the photography website your daughter created. Just WOW!!! Absolutely stunning.

Your daughter did a terrific job. I decided on yellow and up popped your mini lemon cakes that are perfect for this time of year in Florida. The groves are in the process of picking citrus now.

Your photography site looks incredible Annie! Your daughter did a wonderful job. Really love the colour categories. Great idea. And, of course, your photography is amazing! So nice to have a separate site to showcase it all in one space. Congrats!

Annie! Your daughter is SO sweet and your photography is AMAZING! Congrats on the new site – you are so talented my friend. PS -I’ve had a book on loan from the library that I’ve renewed twice now. Sigh. Not enough minutes in the day!

Oh my… Annie.. the book list/stack is so long here and your’s too! So many good books. I tend to read more during winter (and watch movies). Summer… only if on vacation. I’m currently reading breaking the habit of being yourself 😮 The new site is so gorgeous! I especially love several shots of eggs you captured. Well done, Lauren!!

I have a stack of books that I want to read, some from Christmas and some from before that. Currently, I’m enjoying Anna Kendrick’s book – really good! Your daughter has done a lovely job with your site, but with your beautiful photography, it’s hard for it not to look good 😉 Cheers to a lovely weekend, my friend! XOXO

I’m currently not reading any books.. so sad, I know! But this summer I plan on relaxing and reading a ton. Sooo, only way too many months to count until then. I’ll have to tuck this list away for summer though!!! Now off to check out your photography link!! So excited! Cheers, my dear!

I know when I go through dry spells, for one reason or another, it’s still enough to know that there’s a good read waiting for me! Don’t you just love the anticipation? 🙂
