- 1 lb. bulk sweet pork sausage
- 3 heaping cups homemade tomato sauce (or 26 oz. jarred spaghetti sauce)
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 cups Ricotta cheese (32 oz.)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 9 uncooked lasagna noodles
- 3 cups shredded part-skim Mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
- Stir in tomato sauce and water.
- Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine Ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley and eggs.
- Spread 1/2 cup meat sauce into a greased 13 x 9 baking dish.
- Layer with three noodles and one-third of the Ricotta cheese mixture, meat sauce and Mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat layers two more times.
- Cover and bake 45 minutes.
- Uncover; bake 10 minutes or until a browned and bubbly.
- Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
