Penne with Sausage & Broccoli his the spot every time!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. Penne
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 lb. hot Italian sausage, removed from casing
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1 lb. broccoli
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmigianno
  • Drizzle of olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare Penne according to directions. (9-10 minutes for al dente.)
  2. Heat olive oil and red pepper flakes.
  3. Add garlic and fry until just browned.
  4. Remove garlic from the pan and add the sausage.
  5. Cook sausage thoroughly, until browned and crispy.
  6. Steam broccoli until bright and al dente.
  7. Mix pasta, garlic oil, sausage and broccoli in a large bowl.
  8. Add salt to taste.
  9. Finish with 1/4 cup Parmigianno and a final drizzle of olive oil.
  10. Serve.
