Penne with Sausage & Broccoli his the spot every time!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb. Penne
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 lb. hot Italian sausage, removed from casing
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1 lb. broccoli
- Salt
- 1/4 cup grated Parmigianno
- Drizzle of olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare Penne according to directions. (9-10 minutes for al dente.)
- Heat olive oil and red pepper flakes.
- Add garlic and fry until just browned.
- Remove garlic from the pan and add the sausage.
- Cook sausage thoroughly, until browned and crispy.
- Steam broccoli until bright and al dente.
- Mix pasta, garlic oil, sausage and broccoli in a large bowl.
- Add salt to taste.
- Finish with 1/4 cup Parmigianno and a final drizzle of olive oil.
- Serve.
