Ingredients

- 10 firm, sweet apples, peeled, cored and sliced.
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 2 cups quick-cooking oats
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place the sliced apples in a 9×13 inch pan.
- In a separate bowl, mix the white sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over the apples.
- For the topping combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, melted butter and walnuts.
- Crumble evenly over the apple mixture.
- Bake for 40 minutes.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream.
