Description
This Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail, with its cinnamon sugar rim, and fresh rosemary garnish, is a pleasant way to kick off our holiday festivities!
Ingredients
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons apple cider plus 2 cups apple cider, divided
1 cup bourbon
a few dashes maple extract
fresh rosemary sprigs and sliced apple for garnish
Instructions
While preparing the cocktail, chill glasses by filling with ice and cold water. Set aside.
In a shallow bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon.
In another bowl, pour 2 tablespoons cider.
Empty ice and water out of the glasses. Dip the rims in the apple cider then the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Set aside.
In an ice-filled shaker, combine bourbon, 2 cups apple cider, and maple extract.
Shake and pour into glasses containing fresh ice.
Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and sliced apple.
