Easy to prepare, and gorgeously delicious, you can enjoy Almond Scented Crepes with Nutella & Raspberries any time of the day or night!

Have you done this too?
Have you ever been so distracted by the number of choices on a menu and the number of hungry eager patrons forming a long line behind you, that you end up ordering your “default” dish?!
This happened to me.
During our trip to California, we visited the Farmers Market at the Grove in LA. It was a bright beautiful day with a hint of a nip in the air, so we decided to make an afternoon of it. Our excursion included sampling tasty nibbles and later sitting down for a nice meal.

As we scoured the market in search of delicious nosh, we passed all sorts of great places: Mexican, Italian, Middle Eastern, American, Asian, etc… we ultimately landed on a sweet little French place that specialized in crepes. The French Crepe Company. Oh man – so many choices. Too many choices, actually. I suppose for the person who knows exactly what they want – not a problem. But for the person who is intrigued by everything she sees, and wants to get it exactly right…it’s a difficult decision. Then, when she factors in the long line forming behind her, and that the rest of her party has already ordered and is waiting, she begins to feel a dreaded prickly heat rise up the back of her neck.
And who wants that?

So, she did it… I mean, I did it… I ordered my “default”.
A savory crepe (because savory is my default) filled with scrambled eggs, Swiss cheese, mushrooms and bacon, with a side-salad dressed in a sweet mustard-vinaigrette.
Okay – so of course this crepe was delicious – but I soon realized that what I really wanted was a sweet crepe.
So here we are, I am finally satisfying my craving for sweet with Almond Scented Crepes with Nutella & Raspberries.
Oh yes, this is happening.

COOK’S NOTES FOR ALMOND SCENTED CREPES WITH NUTELLA AND RASPBERRIES:
- The key to good crepes is allowing the batter to rest in the refrigerator before cooking; they’re sure to slide off the pan more easily that way.
- I went for sweet full steam ahead! After spreading Nutella (chocolate-hazelnut spread) down the middle of the crepe, load it up with fresh raspberries, roll it up, drizzle with more Nutella, add more raspberries, then finish with a sprinkling of confectioners sugar.
- The nice thing about crepes is you can fill them with just about anything sweet or savory that you like.

Almond Scented Crepes with Nutella & Raspberries are perfect anytime of the day or night. You can serve them for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert!
Buon Appetito!

The last time I had a nutella crepe was at Eataly in NYC. They actually have a nutella cafe!!! I made nutella from scratch once, but it wasn’t as good as the stuff you buy, in my opinion. so I’ll stick with that!!! Beautiful photos.
I love Eataly!! I’ll need to check out that cafe!! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Your crepes take me back to France, yum!
Awhh! I love that! Thank you!
Yum – Annie – these look so delicious. Savory or sweet is a good dilemma to have! Love the Nutella and raspberries – a great choice. Did you enjoy the framer’s market at the Grove – that’s always a fun destination!
We love the farmer’s market! Never a bad time there!! Thanks, Geraldine!!
Lol, the crepe dilemma! I so feel you, when my hubby and I went to Paris I felt how you felt, I ultimately chose the sweet nutella filled one with bananas. But I have to say if Raspberries and Nutella had been on the list I would have ordered these. Yours look divine and cravings would be satisfied. Pinned. Take care. 🙂
Mmmm – now I want Nutella and bananas! That sounds so good! Thanks, Stacey! 🙂
Annie, these are truly lovely! What a great addition they would be to a spring brunch! So elegant, and you really can’t go wrong with fresh raspberries and nutella!
Nutella and fresh raspberries are my jam! Thanks, friend! 🙂
Can you believe that I’ve never made crepes! I’ve eaten plenty of them. I think I need to get busy in the kitchen and whip up a batch of these lovely crepes. They are certainly a show stopper!
I promise you’ll love them! And they’re so simple to make! Enjoy!!
I totally understand that anxiety when you need to make an ordering decision, ha! It’s tough for us foodies who want to try everything. You don’t want to make the wrong decision! Your savory crepe sounds delicious, but I would have a hard time passing these by. It’s like you made these for me – raspberries AND Nutella!? Almond scented? These are amazing!
It’s a real problem! hahahah! Too many choices, too little time! 😉 And yes – I made these for you!! Thanks, friend!
I’ve been there, done that Annie! So happy you decided to share these sweet crepes here. Crepes have been a favorite of mine since I was little. My mother made the best crepes ever! I love this Nutella raspberry combo! Can’t wait to try your recipe!
You can’t beat a good crepe! And who can resist Nutella (with anything)? Thanks, Mary Ann!
Inviting myself over for brunch…okay, thanks!
Yes yes yes!!!! Hurry! 🙂
I would be embarrassed to tell you how often I go with my default order. I’m a creature of habit to a fault!!
Crepes are one of my favorites – love them savory, love them sweet! And it’s so fun to watch the crepe masters in Paris at those little stands around the city. I bet you and your husband enjoyed those on your anniversary trip!!
So excited to try these beautiful crepes of yours, Annie! The flavors sound absolutely wonderful!
Oh my gosh! I am with you – I could stand there all day and watch them create! Thank you, my friend! Have a beautiful day!
It’s killing me that I can’t reach into my computer screen and grab one of these. Or three of them. . .or even more. Because crepes, especially filled with Nutella, are my favorite! OMG I have to make these soon!
Wish I could send you a platter with the hopes of helping you feel better! Thank you, friend!
I can and I do identify with the ordering food situation you describe! So glad to hear about your lovely afternoon at the market and these crepes…Mmmm! Happening this weekend for us, I am pretty sure:)
I’m trying to be better about switching it up!! I am rarely disappointed when I do!
I’m one to just stick with what I love, but every time I move out of my comfort zone, I almost always discover wonderful things 🙂 Loving these crepes! You can never go wrong with nutella.
I am with you 100%! Thanks, Jennifer!
These are things of beauty! Wow – you take crepes to a whole new level. Divine!
Thank you, Alexandra! Pretty and delicious!! 🙂
I would love a taste right now with my morning coffee! These are indeed gorgeously delicious and would be perfect for special occasions!
I think they add a pretty touch to any brunch table! Thank you, my friend!
I’m so bad for that. I love something and then rather than try something new, I always opt for what I know and enjoy because it’s so good! I’ve never made crepes before, but would love to give ’em a go and these look like the perfect place to start, especially with nutella and berries! Next brunch, watch out! Pinned! Happy Monday to ya! XOXO
I think they’re the perfect brunchy food! Sweet or savory – you can’t miss! Thank you, sweets! XOXO
Annie, I’m so craving these now! They look delicious! I didn’t try crepes for many years – I always thought they were weird. Once I tried them, I was addicted! Nutella and raspberries is definitely the way to go!
Hahaha! That’s cute! They are a nice cradle for so many delicious fillings! 🙂
Absolutely gorgeous shots!! I want to frame them so I can drool all the time. They sound like the perfect addition to a special brunch!!
You are so sweet, my friend! Crepes do make for a lovely picture though, don’t they?! 🙂
